At GearNeed, we led the industrial design for POTV's first fully custom production vaporizer; creating the exterior form and contributing to an improved user experience including a refined handfeel, integrated buttons, and a practical USB-C charging position. Our responsibilities also encompassed assisting in the development of the user interface for the device's screen, as well as designing the structural packaging, associated artwork, and a family of accessories to pair with the device.

For POTV’s new flagship device we designed every feature with clarity and ease of use in mind. Intuitive controls, a clean ergonomic design, and intentional material choices focus to convert first-time users and smokers into vaporizer users. The result is a flagship that feels approachable without compromising performance: sophisticated engineering made refreshingly simple.
EXPLORE AND ITERATE
DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING
Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams early on, we were able to understand the internal components and explore improvements on the user experience including moving the charging position, refining the fit and finish of the molded buttons, and creating a intuitive screen layout.
PACKAGING AND PRODUCTION
Exploration in sustainable packaging options led to an intentionally compact unboxing experience: recyclable materials, reduced material use and shipping volume, molded pulp inserts secured contents without plastic, and minimal printing on a removable sleeve using soy-based inks. The result: lower carbon footprint, reduced waste for customers, simpler returns, and an unboxing experience that feels deliberate and elevated.
